I received a phone call from a recruiter and she asked if I had time to answer some questions. Most places will actually get in touch first by email to schedule a time for you to do the phone screen so you aren't frazzled, trying to find a quiet spot and prepare. The woman who called me was nice, and she did make sure I had the time to talk but I think it's more helpful to candidates if you actually schedule phone interviews ahead of time. After her questions, she asked if I wanted to come in that Monday (we talked on Friday). I met with three people separately for this interview. The first two were very nice and polite and asked me standard questions, and some questions just to get to know me. The last guy was very off-putting. I would answer a question and he'd only respond with a "Hmmm" while looking down at my resume, not making any eye contact. He was not friendly or personable, I felt he treated me like I wasn't intelligent or good enough to be there. After talking to all these people, I did a couple quick assessments to test my computer skills. It was a much longer interview than I had anticipated. Also, this was in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and no one in the office wore masks, only the elderly security guard who works for the building.
