I first had a phone interview with a recruiter. The interview went really well, the role matched my experience and was exactly what I was looking for.
Then I had a phone interview with the recruiting manager. This was also very positive. The recruiting manager sent me an assignment to verify that I could do the job. The assignment was not easy:
Given a scenario and a survey result, I had to provide:
2 video presentations (10min each) with their slide decks,
1 sales collateral,
1 sales consolidated resource (one page).
I took the time to do it well since I knew it would make the difference. I sent my work well before the deadline and ... never heard from Procore ever again.
The recruiting manager did not even click on the link to check my work. No one ever saw what took me 32 hours to prepare. The recruiting manager completely ghosted me. No response, no feedback, no thank you, no sorry, nothing. I know it's hard to believe, especially from a company with such good reputation. But I have proof my interview went exactly as I just described it.
