I interviewed with Procore Technologies for a product marketing position in the Fall of 2021. I applied online through a referral. My interview process consisted of the following: - 30 minute phone screen with a recruiter - Two 30 minute video calls back to back: 1 with the hiring manager and 1 with the director The hiring manager (this would have been my direct manager) did not turn their video on during the interview, did not offer an explanation as to why, and told me they did not have my resume. After I gave my responses, there were very long pauses, which indicated to me that the interviewer was not paying attention. I felt disrespected during this interview, especially after doing so much preparation. For my interview with the director, they mentioned they were busy and had a tight schedule so they jumped right into the interview. I got the impression that the interviewer was rushing and didn't have time to interview with me. Unfortunately, this ultimately left me with a poor interview experience and I could not see myself joining the team based on how I was treated during the interview process. On a positive note, the recruiter was amazing! They always provided me with timely updates throughout the interview process and even helped me interview for another role on a different team. A note about Procore - I've interviewed for 3 different positions at this company over the past few months and found that they tend to go with internal over external hires. They truly promote internal promotions and growth which is great, but that makes it difficult to get in as an outsider.
