I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Procore Technologies (Carpinteria, CA) in Apr 2022
Interview
Very straightforward process with communication and prep every step of the way from the recruiting team.
1. Brief chat with the recruiter.
2. Coding challenge with another developer
3. Core interview consisting of 4 interviews covering coding in the language of your choice, brief system design and behavioral questions.
Had a few hiccups with the coding challenges as the first is very collaborative and the second was not so much. The interviewer had himself on mute the whole time and kept any hints or ideas or even a "yeah, that sounds good", to himself. Fell so hard during that interview that they were gracious enough to offer me another chance. The next coding challenge though had the wrong data input, but didn't realize until mostly done with the challenge. Questioned it, but should've pressed harder.
Was offered a position one level below what I had interviewed for (probably based on my coding performance). Lined up another hiring manager to chat with but I had received a competitive offer from another prospect.
The whole experience was made a lot better by the recruiting team who were prompt with feedback and when told I chose another opportunity they thanked and congratulated me. John and Matt you guys are rockstars!
My only feedback is to really nail down and flesh out the coding challenge. Make sure inputs are solid and the questions are easily explainable. If the Core coding challenge is not collaborative, be up front about it so correct expectations are made.

Question 1

I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Procore Technologies (Cairo, Cairo Governorate) in Oct 2024
Interview
Four interviews. Two technical, one behavioral and one leadership. One of the best interview processes I've experienced. Upon request for feedback, the recruiter offered me a callback, which was extremely helpful in absorbing, for once, the empirical reasons for rejection.
