      Product Manager Interview

      Apr 26, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Procore Technologies in Mar 2023

      Interview

I managed to get through recruiter screening, 1st interview with hiring manager and 2nd interview another manager. Hiring manager was great, very friendly and upfront, I think we would have worked together well. The 2nd interview with another manager was alright but seemed to wrap in a positive note. The above took place over a week and a half. Then they went on to ghost me for 2+ weeks, including the "talent coordinator" who was very responsive in setting up the interviews but went radio silent when I tried following up. After following up with several people, finally the recruiter caved and said he was asked to "keep you engaged" while they interviewed their preferred first choice candidate whom they were very keen to hire. They just needed to keep me around in case that candidate backed out for some reason. Instead of just being up front with me or turning me down, I was basically strung along for nearly a month in total. Very disgusting. I shouldn't be surprised because that's what most companies are - dishonest, flaky and only nice to you if it suits them. Was told later on that they abruptly stopped hiring, perhaps due to MaCrOeCoNoMiC cOnDiTiOnS. Hope the recession drags companies like this through the mud and into the sewer.

Thank you for sharing this feedback about your Procore candidate journey. I'm disappointed to hear this was your experience—what you have described is not at all how we want our candidates to feel, especially when they invest so much time and energy into this process. I will be looking into this, but if you have any additional details you wish to share, please get in touch with me at employerfeedback@procore.com. BJ McGuire, VP, Global Talent Acquisition

      Interview

Interview was good, good people. They decided to rescind my offer because I didn’t disclose my layoff during the process. I had to give up my other process and ended up with nothing. Do not trust an offer from this company. Layoffs are common and shouldn’t be held against a candidate.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Procore Technologies in Sep 2025

      Interview

Pretty easy - described on their careers page. I made it through all rounds and then they told me to wait while they finished interviewing other candidates. I gave them a week and reached out because I had another offer and I wanted to see if Procore was still interested in me. They stalled me for a few days and finally said they were going with another candidate. The recruiter said she’d be open to give me feedback and I requested so, but then ghosted me. Disappointing.
