I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Procore Technologies in Aug 2024
Interview
The process started with an online application then onto a recruiter to online tech screen with a software engineer. Most communications occurred with a recruiter. The software engineer in question was very condescending, and talked over the tech screen process. The interviewer used terms like "sweetie," and overexplained, i.e. mansplained, the exercise for 20 out of the 40 minutes allocated for the interview. It was ridiculous and conspicuous; based on vocabulary, I am sure the individual had trouble seeing past gender. I contacted the recruiter with the information from my screen, and someone from the company (Procore Technologies, Austin TX) retaliated by leaving a religiously abusive message at a message board I develop stating "Not only do you suck at coding, [negative statement about the spiritual nature of the website]." I'd advise the company to review their personnel as both gender and religious discrimination are unlawful. In all, it's reeks of a toxic workplace environment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The tech screen was the type of problem where the input data is poorly structured, and the interviewee is required to parse the data into a variety of presentational formats. "Here's an array of arrays of possible employees for a job and their hourly rate. Here's an array of arrays of available jobs over the course of a week. Create an employee schedule that is most cost efficient."
Recruiter call. Then panel interview easy process. Was very straightforward and communicative along the entire way of the process. Super easy and recruiter was amazing emails through out the process
Typical process- recruiter reached out, had 5 interviews over zoom, and then the offer was sent. I negotiated and while they were hesitant, they ended up giving me what I wanted.
