One of the strangest recruitment process I have even been through.
I have applied to a certain position and went through a course of 3 interviews. The first one was with the HR department. How surprised I was to discover that they were not Interviewing me for the job I applied for, but for another one they thought was more aligned with my skills and experience. Certainly, I agreed to join the recruitment process for this new position, without any information on the brand for which I would be working. The second interview mainly consisted of role-plays such as: describe a conflict with a colleague and how you resolved it, for example.
It was interesting but once again no information communicated and no visibility: no start date, no explanation of the position, no questions about my experiences, about my interest in the position. I validated this interview and passed the third. Once again, role-playing and a practical case where I didn’t even have time to think and where I had to give my answers live.
At the start of the interview, this time I was told that I was not even applying for a precise position, but that the recruiters were giving themselves the choice of positioning me for a position based on my answers. They didn’t even ask me my opinion. What if I wasn’t interested in this position ? At the end of the interview, which was the last one, I pointed out I still had no information either on the position or on the brand that I would potentially join. When I asked for more information, I was answered evasively. Even funnier, recruiters told me they didn’t even have any open positions, but that they regularly held interviews based on potential needs. 3 interviews to tell me that? I was shocked. In short, an extremely vague process, no consideration of the candidate, as if we should feel privileged to join the group. I don't have any feedback on this last interview yet, but I'm not even sure I want it. Lots of red flags.
