Recruitment process for the internships is the same as a graduate scheme as they're a built from within company. I applied around early-mid October time, you need to fill an online test pretty much straight after. Think they took about a month to let me know that I proceeded to step 3, which is a 65 minute test of 90 questions with numerical logical and verbal reasoning questions followed by an interview if you pass the test.
They came to my uni for that 3rd stage and there were 12 of us. I haven't heard anyone who hadn't passed the test, but we weren't sat together at the end of the test so I wouldn't know for sure. The interview was all about me, what my skills are. P&G is looking for some certain skills that they can tick off on their list, like leadership, communication, innovation, creativity, taking initiative and follow up etc. Make sure you have around 10 different examples from a wide range of topics, like some uni related some extracurricular activity related, some internship related etc. At the end of the interview they ask you some questions on your CV so make sure you know what you said there and be ready to be challenged if anything seems unrealistic (like I had a research internship on my CV that I had done after my 1st year, which is kinda unusual as companies usually go for final or penultimate year students. So they wanted me to explain how I got the job). The interviewers at this stage are quite young and are not trying to challenge you. It's important to be relaxed and confident, smile and make some jokes where appropriate. They have to do the same interviews all day so make it as not boring as possible. I had the interview on a Wednesday and heard back from them on Monday with an invitation to day visit at their site in about two weeks
Next stage was with the manager of the 2 people that interviewed me before. He was tougher and less smiley. Make sure you know why you wanna work for p&g and what they do, how they're different from other companies etc. The same competency based questions were asked again, but a lot less this time. Basically that is just to tick off all those skills that P&G wants, so don't worry if it's shorter than the previous interview. At the end of this interview I wasn't sure how it went as I didn't feel like I connected with the interviewer as much as I did in the first stage. Had the interview on a Friday and got an email with my offer on Monday afternoon, so extremely quick process!
