The hiring/interview process was rather smooth and thorough, which was wonderful! I will say Progressive does a great job at keeping applicants informed about all aspects of the process. The first step of the process was applying. They utilize a user-friendly applicant tracking system that makes everything smooth. After the application was sent, I received an email (almost immediately) in regards to taking an assessment (to see if the job is for you or not based off of personality traits). It took me about 45 minutes to complete. Have your math skills ready. After that (within an hour or so) I received an email informing me that I have moved on in the process and will need to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was scheduled for a week and a half later. During the phone interview, they went over my application and resume briefly. Then they proceeded to ask me STAR based questions. If you have a strong working background (with concrete examples and experience), this will be no problem for you. After the phone interview, I received two emails: one telling me I had moved on to the manager (final) interview, and the other telling me that my background check had been intitiated. The background check is something you fill out online (be sure to have all your dates of employment correct, W-2s ready, and your DD214 (if you served in the milItary)). The background check was quick and painless, but watch your email closely (they may request additional documentation). The manager interview finally arrived. I was nervous at first, but I actually got to know the manager in the beginning which made the nerves dissipate. He asked the same type of STAR questions as the phone, which were all different from the phone interview. Lastly, he asked me if I had any questions. Utilize this to learn more about the position and ensure it is a good fit. Exactly a week later (on a Monday) I get a call back telling me that I have been selected for a job offer.
