I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance in Feb 2019
Interview
Initially I applied and it took around a week, maybe a little more before I was invited to a phone screen. The phone screen went for 30 minutes and they asked me to describe how I prioritize, how I deal with difficult customers, how I collaborate etc. with examples. I made sure to do my research about the company before I had the phone interview. I was then invited to an in person meeting with the hiring manager whilst on the phone, which was set for a week later. My interviewer gave me feedback that my answers were great and that it was good that I'd researched the company before.
I went to the on site interview and met with the district hiring manager and one of the supervisors at the center. They asked me very similar behavioral questions to the phone interview, then asked me at the end how much I knew about progressive. I'd done more research so I explained why I was excited to work for the company etc. They told me that I'd know by the following week whether I had the job.
The day after the interview I was told I had the job pending my background screening. The background screening took such a long time so it was almost a month later before I had a formal job offer. Unfortunately this time lapse also meant it was another month before I could start my training. All in all, a great interview experience, but be prepared for a lengthy process after the interview to actually start the job.
