I went through an interview with an HR representative and the hiring manager. First red flag was the salary range posted in the job description wasn't within their budget. I was told it would be helpful to include even if their budget didn't match the first half of the range. Moved forward to the next step, where the hiring manager was wonderful. The interview seemed to go great where he told me I fit the boxes he was looking for and to keep an eye out for next steps - but then I was ghosted for a while. Eventually the initial HR rep let me know they gave the role to someone else. The lack of transparency was a bit frustrating.
