I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Proofpoint (Sunnyvale, CA) in Sep 2018
Interview
All of the interviews where either phone or remote video using Zoom.
1. HR interview to determine basic qualifications
2. Hiring Manager interview via video asking behavioral questions - no technical
3. Existing CSM via video asking behavioral and some technical QA
4 Existing CSM via video asking behavioral and some technical QA
4 rounds of interviews lasting over 3 hrs
One week following the last interview I followed up to determine if there is any feedback and now being over 2 weeks later I still have yet to receive a response. If a prospective employee spends over 3hrs of their time with a company for interviews it would be best if the HR department spends 2min of their time crafting an email to indicate why the individual may not be a good fit or if they are still evaluating candidates. Unprofessional for the Proofpoint organization to ghost and individual in these situations.
