I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Proofpoint (Salt Lake City, UT) in Mar 2015
Interview
Proofpoint has a friendly, energetic, sales-driven culture and this extends to the interview process. The recruiter that contacted me for screening was very positive about the opportunity and very helpful with all of my questions. The next couple of interviews involved the usual meetings with managers and other personnel. There was also a presentation meeting in which I was provided slides and had plenty of time to prepare; this was mainly to allow several people to assess my presentation and customer-interaction skills. Everyone was very positive and the original recruiter was a consistently available resource throughout.

Question 1
Definitely spent some time discussing my technology background but, based on other hires, it's not always a pre-requisite.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Proofpoint in Jun 2024
Interview
Interview screening with recruiter (your basic run of the mill, expectations, why here, why now, why this role)
Interview with hiring manager - 45 minutes
Team interview (1 at a time)
Final presentation (hour)
All in all - process took around 2 months
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Proofpoint in Nov 2023
Interview
Very unprofessional hr recruiter. Lacked transparency. Kept me on the sidelines for months without a definitive no until they found someone better. Interviewed with recruiter, hiring manager, solutions architect director, and a current team member. The recruiter would tell me on numerous occasions that ste would update me tomorrow or in a few days with next steps and completely would go dark, and rinse and repeat this strange communication the next week. Why couldn’t she just tell me no or offer some transparency? she told me more than twice the hiring manager was out sick or on vacation and that she had scheduled time to review and would get back to me by set date. She cloud have just been honest and let me know they needed more time to evaluate other candidates but this was never communicated. Three months into the process and I still haven’t gotten a definitive no or an automated rejection email and she’s still leading me on. Its pretty crazy.

Interview
I was recruited by Wombat. The on site interview was to be with 4 people. After arriving I was informed 2 of the 4 had schedule conflicts. Being that my interview was scheduled 5 days prior, couldn’t someone have called me to reschedule?
Prior to the interview I needed to submit an online application and release for a background check. Both required my SS#. I was also required to take a personality test. One would think this is more necessary after the process not before.
