I applied online. I interviewed at Proofpoint (Sunnyvale, CA)
Interview
Standard panel interview with multiple managers for the same vertical. Nothing too complicated. I completed everything up to a verbal offer and even signed an offer letter - here is where it gets interesting; I submitted all paperwork necessary through their vendor, "Sterling," for a background check. The website keeps giving me an error and won't let me proceed. HR rep and the person who would be my manager have the audacity to tell me, "HaVE u TrIED SuPpORT." I've been working in tech for 8 years, and that's your response? I hop on a Zoom call with the HR rep to show her, and she shrugs her shoulders with, get this, "This never happens." Google Sterling Background check, and you'll see all you need to know. Such a joke. Had to rescind my offer after reading about this company being such a toxic work environment. I dodged a real bullet.

Question 1
Quali sono le tue motivazioni principali al cambiamento
lack of transparency from hr on where things stood throughout the interview process. Was being kept in the dark on next steps but being held onto as an insurance policy until they found the right person. The interview process was extended to two months of them stringing me along not giving me an answer on whether they wanted to move forward with me. I was always reaching out for an update and getting a vague response back on timing, next steps, and interest. They should have been more professional in shooting me down instead of bringing me a long for a vague rollercoaster ride of where I stood. After a few months of constant excuses like, hiring manager was sick, out of office, on vacation, Ill get back to you next week, i was on vacation etc. they finally told me they decided to move forward with someone else. I couldn't believe how unprofessional they were.
