I recently spoke to the recruiter about the Inside Sales Manager role at Proofpoint and had a disappointing experience. The recruiter seemed disinterested and lacked knowledge about the role and the company. I asked questions about compensation, quota, ramp, and the leaders; but the recruiter had very little information or knowledge and struggled to answer my questions. I wasn’t sure if they were interested in me or didn’t know the answers. At the end of my call, I was promised a connection with the hiring manager, which made me happy because Proofpoint and this role align well with my skillset. However, I never heard back from this recruiter, which was extremely disappointing. It's not a good look to ghost interested candidates. This has left me unsure about pursuing further opportunities.
