Long interview process, 3 weeks of actual interviews and another 2 weeks to receive a response. One 30min recruiter call, one 45min call with hiring manager, then 4 onsite interviews with upper management 30mins each (one of those was with the same hiring manager i already intereviewed with). The recruiter tells me she will be going on vacation and to expect to hear back in two weeks. The following day, I see the exact job listing reposted on linkedin. After two weeks, I recieved a call saying they were moving on with another candidate. When i applied, this was the second time they reposted the job listing, that should have been a red flag. Overall it seemed like they were very picky in trying to find the "perfect" candidate and felt like they were stringing me along as a backup option. For the position they're trying to fill, it seems like this company has a difficult time managing and making decisions.

Question 1
How do you think critically think when encountering something unknown/new?
I applied online. I interviewed at Proofpoint (Belfast, Northern Ireland) in Mar 2024
Interview
I was contacted on the Monday by the Talent HR team and expected to be free on Tuesday and Wednesday for 2 interviews back to back. I made myself free to then be told 1 week later that the team were busy for the next few weeks and they couldn't give me a yes or no answer / feedback from my interview. This indicated to me that it was a no but they couldn't give me that feedback / closure on the interview - I can safely say it was a no from me as well - not the type of company I would want to work for. Just approach with caution - if you appreciate your time, don’t bother going for the interview as they have operated very poorly. I took leave from my job to make myself available for them in such short notice they couldn't as much as be respectful towards me.

Question 1
n/a - general interview questions which I answered
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Proofpoint (Sunnyvale, CA) in Dec 2018
Interview
Phone screened with internal recruiter, bypassed phone screen with HM and was invited to a 2.5hrs onsite interview to meet with 4 managers.
The job was for both gl accounting and consol per job description but the interviewers told me it was only for fixed assets. Can’t you review the job description before posting it?
The HM did not have eye contact with me during the interview and she made it very clear she didn’t think I was qualified for the job. The boss of the HM was tough and rude too, he made me very uncomfortable and wanted to stop the interview immediately.
This was my worst interview experience.
