Applied online. Approximately two weeks later I received an email from a Technical Recuiter (extremely nice and helpful) asking me to schedule an interview with the Hiring Manager. About a week later, I had first of four video-telecon interviews, each one going "up the chain." I also had a phone interview with the lead Technical Recruiter (previously mentioned) concerning salary requirements, present job, etc. Each one was more in depth w/ questions ranging from my experience, what I wanted to do, what I knew of the company, etc. However, each of the interviewers, from the Technical Recruiter all the way to an EVP, were congenial, collegial, and friendly. I was extremely impressed by their desire to not only bring on the best technically qualified people, but also ones who also had good people skills. My last interview (6th!) was in person. Again, the individuals with whom I interviewed were totally professional, but relaxed and very informative. At no point in any of the interviews did I ever feel intimidated or "looked down upon." However, I also knew who and what they were looking for, so I prepared fully for each one. All in all, it was a VERY rigorous process, but one I was grateful for because I learned a lot about myself, the people, and Proofpoint. Right up until I was hired (and it has continued with every employee), was helpful, professional, informative, and friendly. All in all, the interview process was difficult...but worth it in the end!
