Interview
Start to finish, the process took about 3 months. Applied as an external candidate. Submitted an application through a website that was easy to navigate. Contacted by the department's Director for a preliminary phone interview. Next step was to then talk with the Senior Director. Finally, I had an in-person panel interview. The interview focused on right fit and the panel asked mostly behavioral questions; it was a nice departure from the typical interview questions.
One of the best experiences I've had. Individuals were prompt and accountable with their responses. After phone interviews I like to send out a quick email thanking the interviewer for their time. Surprisingly (and to my delight), I actually received a reply.
I was not even given an opportunity to interview. The interview was scheduled and 25 minutes prior to the interview time, the interview was abruptly cancelled and I was told that they had found a candidate and was moving forward with an offer. I find this to be highly unprofessional and will most likely never seek employment with this organization nor will I recommend it to anyone else.
