I interviewed with one of the teams under them [Luminance Group - Reg. No. 199002477Z (703/05 Oct 23) to be a social media executive. Instead, when I arrived, the Associate Financial Services Manager of the team informed me that she wasn't looking for someone in that role and provided me with options ranging from low-paying administrative roles to being an FA, despite my earlier indication that I wasn't interested. When I asked why they even put the listing out there for this role, the manager just stated that the listing was to pull more people in to interview with them, which was just outright scammy. If you were not going to hire for that role, why put it as a listing? Why lie? Because being an FA already has such a bad reputation, and by doing this, you're just tarnishing the image even further. Not only that, they have wasted my time as I had to travel to their hard-to-reach office and sit down for an interview, before realising they weren't being truthful with their listings. It seems like they use this tactic to recruit for FAs as well, which is so scummy, and I wouldn't be proud to be in an organisation where they don't know how to recruit honestly. Oh, also, the manager's admin quit suddenly, and she was desperately looking for a new one while offering meagre pay, so that's kind of telling of how it is to work under her. Strongly would not recommend this team under Prudential.
