I applied online. 2 weeks later a recruiter reached out to me and we had a short phone call. After that I had a phone screen with the team lead. He was very nice and invited me to a face to face interview.
I had 4 interviews there. I met with the recruiter again, with a college graduate who just came out of university, with the team lead again, he told me if it was up to him he would hire me right away but all 4 of them have to say yes. Then I met with an older man who worked there for a long time. After the interviews were over the recruiter told me they work fast and she'll get back to me soon.
I got an email from her the next they that all of them said yes and they want to move forward. I thought wow they really work fast. She told me there is just one more thing. I have to have a short phone call with one of the VPs but not to worry about it because it's just a formality. She set up a meeting then cancelled it, she set up 2 more meetings and cancelled both. She told me she doesn't know when the VP will have time so she'll not set up any more, she'll see. Apparently the VP didn't know that the 3rd meeting was cancelled too, and he called me. It was very unexpected but we had a nice chat. In the end he asked me if I had any more questions, I told him that I don't right now but I'll email the recruiter if I have. He told me that I can email him directly and he gave me his email address.
I emailed the recruiter that the VP still called me and we had a nice chat, just to give her an update. No answer.
I didn't hear from them for a month. Then I decided to email him to ask for updates. 2 weeks later I got a "no-reply" email from the company that they move forward with someone else. Then I saw the same LinkedIn ad online as the one I applied to.
