I went through the full interview process for a role at Public Health Seattle & King County, including an interview and a homework assignment. They even reached out to all of my references! Then they ghosted me. I continued following up for a few months, getting a generic reply that they had not reached a decision, and then the recruiter and interviewer stopped answering my emails. For the city to ghost an applicant after speaking with references is completely disrespectful and disappointing.
