I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Publix (Pensacola, FL) in Jun 2019
Interview
Interviewed with store manager then came back for a drug test with the assistant customer service manager. Drug test was a mouth swab, results were given to me about a week later. I started work about a week after that which started with about two days of training videos then on the job training.
Relaxed one on one interview process. They want to know why want to work at Publix, how you will handle angry customers, and what your weekly shift availbility is. They prioritize candidates who can work busy retail hours, such as weekends, late evenings, and early mornings.
Get asked about yourself, your goals, how you approach providing premiere customer service. They also ask what you availability is like. I thought it would be more nerve racking than it was.
