I originally applied to Publix that was closest to my house but somehow got an interview from another Publix farther away. The Store Manager is very friendly and very straight further. I've had previous experience with food service and asked me why I applied for Cashier/Grocery Stocker rather than a Deli Clerk. My only reasoning was that I wanted to step away from food, but he did let me know that they get paid more and from what I know with my skills that I would be good in there. He even gave me a pay offer if I go to Deli which I accepted without hesitation.
