Across the interview stages, everyone was respectful and it didn't feel like there were any "gotcha" questions or unfair expectations. I genuinely looked forward to the interviews and walked away from each conversation feeling respected, which is a rarity in this process. Questions were fair and entirely reasonable, yet challenging enough to warrant careful thinking.
I also felt comfortable asking fairly direct questions about team culture and the status of the company.
Entire process from initial phone interview to offer was about 4 weeks, and this included the hiring manager being on PTO for one of those weeks which naturally extended it. The final interview was followed up by an extra "tie-breaker" final interview, which I was completely fine with because it showed how much they cared - and more importantly, they were very clear in their communication about suddenly adding this extra step and why they needed to. That made a big difference to me.
