I interviewed for a role at QTS and had positive interactions with most of the staff, everyone was professional, kind, and organized. Unfortunately, the interview with the hiring manager was disappointing. She appeared unfamiliar with several basic aspects of the field, describing routine functions as major challenges. During our discussion about DEIA, her demeanor noticeably changed when I mentioned being Middle Eastern, and the conversation ended shortly after. I asked for feedback afterward but didn’t receive any. While the process itself was smooth, this experience left me questioning how consistently DEIA values are applied across teams.
