I can confirm this candidate did interview at QLess. He also says the truth when he says the interview was short. Nobody has declined a marketing offer at QLess in years, though. And this candidate certainly did not receive one --if the author claims he received one, I challenge him to post it on this page.
Although I was not the person who interviewed him, I stand 100% behind the Liberator who did and her questions. Understanding expectations is important in any line of business. Nobody said anything to this candidate about what we were actually prepared to pay.
The candidate also failed to perceive the difficulty of the interview, because he did not pass it.
Regarding honesty, the Liberator who interviewed him is dead honest --unlike this review. She has a 20+ year history of success.
As for failing companies, failing companies don't grow at an average of 80% for 25 successive quarters. Failing companies don't get crowned the Best Computer Services Company in America for five consecutive years. They don't get crowned the Best Computer Services Company in the world for the last two consecutive years. They don't get 96% employee retention.
As for the candidate, we wish you the best of luck. Don't feel bad. QLess is more selective than Harvard University, so most people don't make the cut.
