I applied for field application scientist-Italy in February 2022. The entire selection process lasted two months with 5 interviews, the last of which consisted in the technical presentation of an instrument of my choice in front of to the whole team (not only scientists, there were about ten people). At the conclusion of each interview, the managers made you feel already part of the team, as another Glassdoor review says. After the presentation, the preparation of which during a week of work was very demanding, they all congratulated me, making me believe that "it was done". Result: after 2 weeks of silence I received an email in which, with a "copy and paste" sentence, I was informed that I had not been taken. Quite disappointed, I asked for an explanation which they NEVER answered. First of all, I would suggest less demanding selection processes (5 interviews ...), but the thing that bothered me most was the lack of a final answer. Being discarded is “part of the game”, but respect for the worker must never be lost, especially after two months of selection.
