That’s the weirdest interview process I’ve been through, and I’ve been through a few. The 1st round was online with an HR person that just read the job description out loud. The 2nd one was with the hiring manager and they insisted it’s in person. The hiring manager asked loads of questions about my current job, the processes I handle in so much detail that at some point I just had to tell them I’m not comfortable sharing such insider information. It’s like they were trying to find someone who does exactly they same job they were trying to fill without having to train them?? Anyway, that was strange, they were quite pushy and unpleasant at times, I already felt I wouldn’t want to work with this person. The interview dragged on for longer than it was planned for, I had something planned afterwards and when I checked my watch at some point, the guy asked if he was boring me?.. Eventually I had to tell I need to go and even then I couldn’t leave immediately, the interviewer learned I’m from Ukraine and started asking questions about the war and what my opinion is on the whole situation (knowing full well I’m already late)..anyway, wildly inappropriate and unprofessional from the beginning to the end, left me with a bad aftertaste. They said they would like another in-person session to keep talking about my experience which seemed absolutely excessive to me since I already covered it in so much detail, and they asked me to reach out to them to schedule it. This was also surprising to me since the usual practice is the company reaching out back to the candidate to communicate the results of the interview but at that point I absolutely didn’t care, I just wanted to leave that place. I never contacted them again and in a month or so received a generic email saying they didn’t find me fit for the role
