      UI/User Experience Designer (Contract) Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Quixey (Mountain View, CA) in Aug 2014

      Interview

I applied online and got a call from the talent acquisition from Quixey about a week after. The lady is probably the nicest and kindest sounding recruiter I've talked to so far into my job search. I was not prepared at all and probably did not do ideally when we went over my experiences briefly. She sounded nice throughout the call and through our e-mail exchanges after. She gave me a design challenge to complete and submit quickly but since I've been quite busy with all the other interviews going on I took a week to submit it back. On the day of my scheduled interview with the head of design team, about two hours before the call, she called me to let me know that the interview was cancelled and I was not a suitable fit. Overall it was a pleasant experience because the recruiter was so nice and helpful. Quixey looks like an exciting company to work at, and I valued the experiences I gained from completing the design challenge. I probably did not do so well but the process of getting to know Quixey was pleasant.

      Question 1

The design challenge was not bad, didn't take that long and was fun to do. No really difficult questions because I did not move that far along the process
