I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Quo in Sep 2025
Interview
Fast interview process from start to finish about 3.5 weeks. The process outlined on the careers page is very accurate. Interview consisted of phone screen, hiring manager screen, technical rounds (open ended questions, system design, behavioral) and team fit.

Question 1
System design was an archeviture review figjam. Interviewer asked how to improve the system. Deep dives on database choices/sharding, cap theorem, and availability. Pretty typical of a mid level interview
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Quo in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process went well. They always kept me updated and provided good feedback and they were quick to respond to any questions I had. All in all it was a great experience.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Quo (Vancouver, BC) in Apr 2025
Interview
Had a really positive experience interviewing with OpenPhone, the recruiters were really responsive and I felt like the process was respectful of candidates time. In terms of the process, there was a recruiter screen, call with an EM, and a take home that was fairly straightforward.
After this there was a virtual on site split over two days which consisted of an interview going over your take home, a system design interview which felt more conversational and collaborative compared to other ones I've done in the past, call with a PM, and a team and culture round.
Everyone I spoke to was kind and I came out with a great impression of the company. OpenPhone definitely had one of the better interview processes I've gone through, I especially appreciated that the take home was a reasonable length.
