I was one of Seven candidates gunning for this assignment, and here's what happened:
Day-1:
- An RSI Talent Acquisition Lead Connects, and presents me the opportunity
- Sends me the JD; I scan it and decide to proceed ahead with the venture
Day-2: Interview #1 with One Member from Top Mgmt.
Day-4: I was advised that I cleared the round. Interview schedule fixed for Round-2!
Day-18: Round-2
- This was a video-cum-webinar screen sharing call, wherein I had to present my strategic recommendations to the Exec. Mgmt. Panel
Day-20: I'm called to confirm that I made it to Round-3!
Day-21: Round-3
- Personal interview to RSI offices at Noida, India, to meet with the EVP and Head-HR
- I was asked beforehand to present the same strategy deck, which I presented in Round-2
Day-27: Finalization
- I was called for a personal discussion to finalize on compensation, DoJ, etc.
- I didn't have to negotiate one bit; they were more than fair!
- I was also escorted to my cabin, with my nameplate already placed outside the door (which I thought was a great gesture of trust, faith, and appreciation!), followed by a very soft introduction with some of the key stakeholders and the Marcom team
My Advise To Others:
1. Overall the interview difficulty level for me was Average, but Challenging.
(Others may rate it, Differently!)
- This is because I knew how "tailor-made" this role and company was, for me
- At the end, all I had to do was to Be Me!
(Just like how you are, when you're getting measured by an Italian Tailor, whilst getting a tailored suit made!)
2. The Key here is to proceed ahead, Only if you know in your bones that this is the right job and the right company for you!
(Just like in a high-stakes Poker game!)
