I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RBC in Apr 2015
Interview
After I submitted my application, there were 3 interviews.
1. 2 weeks after submission, recruiter called me for a simple 5 minute chat (asked why I wanted to work for RBC, and some simple administrative questions such as are you legally allowed to work?). We scheduled a phone interview for the day after.
2. Phone interview: Simple questions on customer service, sales, problem resolution (name a time when you went above and beyond for a customer, name a time when you fixed a problem with a customer, name a time when you had to reach sales targets). Rather informal interview. If the recruiter likes you, they will immediately set up a formal interview for you and a few hiring managers in a branch.
3. In person interview: Interviewers were super friendly and made me feel very comfortable, asked very basic/ predictable questions. Went over my resume, asked a couple of the same questions as the phone interviews, also asked questions such as: what does customer service mean to you?Approximately 30 minutes long and you get to ask them questions afterwards. Got the offer after 2 days. Then they will send you the background check and offer package after a few days.

It wasnt too bad. pretty entry level. salary not really negotiable. If you come in prepared with expectations around the roll based off of the job description, its pretty standard.
