A recruiting coordinator located in Wisconsin reached out to me about scheduling a 15-minute phone interview for an Entry-Level Engineer position at the Orlando office. We agreed on a time, but about 30 minutes before the interview, he called to let me know that an offer had been accepted for the position, so he would be cancelling the interview. I don't know why they were still scheduling initial interviews even after extending offers, but oh well. A few days later, he called again saying there was a new opening in the same location for the exact same role (?), so we set up another interview. From the start of that interview, it was clear that the role I was interviewing for was actually the Mechanical Engineer I position located in a nearby (but different) office in Winter Park. That interview went fine, but the recruiter sounded disinterested and was clearly just reading a list of questions, many of which were repetitive. He ended by saying he'll share some info with the engineering team, and they would let me know if they would like to continue the process within one week. About two weeks later, I got an automated email from REV Group stating that my application for the original position was not being considered for the next step. It's unclear whether that applies to the new opening that I interviewed for, but it would be nice to hear directly from the person that I talked to.
