I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at REVGEN (Raleigh, NC) in May 2014
Interview
The hiring coordinator was very informal in our email correspondences, which I didn't particularly mind. Soon after sending my initial email and resume he asked for a phone interview. The actual interview was conducted on his personal mobile phone and he had poor service, making it difficult for me to hear and understand the questions he was asking.
After five or so minutes of basic questioning ("How did you hear about us? Are you from the area?" etc.) he invited me for an in person interview at the Citrix suite (RevGen wasn't yet open for business at the time). This position essentially meant cold calling prospective companies and attempting to interest in Citrix services and as a part of the interview I and the other two interviewees had to call actual companies. This was to see how comfortable we were in a real world situation.
The hiring coordinator said that he would get back to me no later than the next day (a Friday), but I heard nothing from him. The following Monday was a holiday so when I didn't hear anything back from him by Tuesday afternoon, I called him. He didn't answer so I left a voicemail inquiring about my interview results but he didn't call back. I sent an email the next day asking the same thing but once again, no response.
I figured I hadn't gotten the job, but I really disliked that he seemed to have been essentially ignoring me, cutting contact after saying he would get back to me in within 24 hours. I feel the least courteous thing he could have done was to tell me that I didn't get the job instead of completely ignoring me.

Question 1
The on the spot cold calling was unexpected. We were required to follow fill out a short form indicating the success of our calls and we were to not sound as if we were selling something, though in the long run we were.

The first hiring process is a phone interview. After you are offered an interview, you sit down with with recruiters and at least one team manager. After interview you shadow with a current lead gen and then practice phone calls for 15 minutes that are monitored.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at REVGEN (Raleigh, NC) in Jul 2015
Interview
very genuine interview. They don't sugar coat what the job entails. Be prepared to have an open honest conversation and be prepared to soul search to see if this is the career you want. It's a trying job and not for the faint of heart.
