It was a very easy and informal interview with no preparation required as the job is very simple and straightforward and counters are needed to make up for the high turnover rate.

Got an email to come in for an interview (which was scheduled about 5 days later) about a week and a half after applying. Was not told that others (6-7) were interviewing at the same time albeit it wasn't a group interview nor did it make for an unpleasant experience or anything. The interview consisted of three parts. Once we got there we were given forms to fill out, this included about 20-40 images of shapes/ items for us to count as well as a 2 page math test (in the most part not difficult but the 2/3 digit multiplication questions were considerably harder). The individual interview part was short, about 10mins, not intensive at all, mostly general questions (see below). The interviewer was a very nice and personable lady. Following the interview, we took turns doing a stock take of a shelf of groceries (the practical test) in which we used the Portable Data Terminals to scan the items. If you were quick this part took about 7-10mins. We didn't have to wait to hear about the job, we were contacted that night. If successful, a training day was scheduled 2 days later.
