I applied for a VP position. First thing the recruiter mentioned on the call was that the position was already filled internally. Then went on to tell me about two other design positions. Very disappointed that my time was wasted. We emailed back and forth a couple of times during the scheduling process. She could have mentioned it then and I would have politely declined the interview. If I’m applying for a VP role, why would I be interested in a Sr. Designer position? Again, just a waste of time that could have been avoided if the recruiter was upfront from the very beginning.
