1st round was a 1 hour online coding challenge mainly revolving around Pandas and SQL. 2nd round was a 1 hour panel interview with the exec team and 1 of them was super nice but the other one kept mocking me on my answers and was laughing at my responses. The questions were irrelevant and had no right answer as well. Super demotivating and definately felt like hell for an hour. The gap between both the rounds was 7 months.

Over the course of about one month, Rhombus asked me to do 4 tought technical interviews. They continuously moved dates, had different people interviewing me than were scheduled, and the last one got split into two different days unexpectedly. Every step of the way, they said that I was doing well. After the interview that was supposed to be the final one (that got split into two, with some of the directors not able to interview me until the next week), the HR team emailed me to say "we are determined to bring you into Rhombus. You did great today, just bring that same energy to the next call and you will be fine." and "confirming that we envision you shoulder to shoulder with our high-side DC team" and "our HR Manager [name] will be reaching out to you to schedule a time to discuss compensation, benefits, onboarding, etc.". In the very final interview, the director (who i would not have direct contact with in the job) asked me weird questions, including asking me to sort a list of tuples in python and rejected my response that used a lambda function (he said he wanted me to import and use a specific library). He also was disapointed I used the default activation function for a neural network project on my resume. This was the first person at rhombus who was at all disapointed with me. They did not hire me. To waste so much of someones time with unprofessional last minute changes, and most importantly to get my hopes up like that just to cast me aside, screams 'I don't know what i'm doing'. Do not work for Rhombus, and if possible, buy puts on them.
