I applied online and was subsequently invited to a 45-minute Zoom interview with a recruiter. To my surprise, the recruiter did not turn on her video during the call. If the intent was to conduct a phone interview, it would have been more appropriate to request a phone number instead of scheduling a Zoom meeting. At the end of the conversation, I was informed that the role involved at least four additional interview stages and a presentation, (which I thought was extremely excessive for this level role), and that I would receive an update on my application status by midweek. Unfortunately, I did not hear back until more than a week later, when I received a generic rejection email. Overall, the process felt impersonal and lacked professionalism, resulting in a disappointing candidate experience.
