I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Andover, MA) in Jan 2020
Interview
This was the single worst candidate experience I have ever had, and I would recommend to anybody to stay away from applying at the Andover location. I'm sure the other locations are fine. This is a long read but a good caution for anyone considering working at this location.
I traveled 457 miles each way for this interview, because they sent me a candidate expense form, only to arrive at the facility to learn that the hiring manager did not have the time to interview me. I wasted two days traveling for this and the hiring manager gave me a quick tour that clocked in at 16 minutes. She did not ask me a single question about my work experience or anything about me. I didn't think it was possible for an "interview" to be this disrespectful and insulting.
Then after the interview the experience somehow gets far worse. I turned in the completed version of the candidate expense report that was sent to me, and it is denied. They now tell me that I should have just ignored the candidate expense report, and I was expected to pay for the 457 miles (each way) of travel out of pocket. I'm still in the process of fighting with them to get what I am owed, but if this is how HR treats their candidates I can't imagine how poorly they treat their employees.
