      Executive Team Leader Interview

      Jul 10, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Raise in Jan 2023

      Interview

At the executive level they utilize a combination of a few individual rounds with other executives, a personality assessment, and then a structured interview called Topgrading with an outside consultant. Topgrading has been around since the 70's and involves a deep analysis of the candidate's characteristics and how they match to the position.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Topgrading starts all the way back in High School to your most recent position. They will ask about low and high points, collect details such as quantifiable results in your professional positions, and questions such as ... "what was your boss's name?" ... "what was his/her strengths and weaknesses?" ... "did you enjoy working with this person? why and why not" ... "what would say about you? Strengths? weaknesses etc." Part of the reason of naming the boss is the let the candidate know they will follow up with the boss during a reference check. This tends to weed out "C" players with the possible exception of narcissists.
