I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Raising Cane's (Plano, TX)
Interview
I’ve been a longtime fan of Raising Cane’s—not just for the food, but for the culture and energy the brand puts out. I was genuinely excited about the opportunity to potentially contribute to the company and went into the interview process with a lot of passion and preparation.
The first interview went incredibly well as it was highly engaging, even ran over time, and included discussions around compensation, benefits, and bonus structure. I was told I was a strong fit and would be moving forward to meet with the hiring manager. I even connected with several current team members who seemed just as enthusiastic about me potentially joining the team.
But after that? Radio silence. Two weeks passed with no updates, and then I was suddenly sent a generic rejection email. No explanation, no follow-up, and all communication with the individuals I had connected with ceased.
I completely understand that not every candidate will move forward, but if you're going to give such positive feedback, discuss compensation, and promise additional interviews, it’s only fair to follow through or communicate clearly if something changes as respect for candidates time/effort. The sudden shift felt disingenuous and disappointing from a brand i truly believed in.
