I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rapleaf in Mar 2011
Interview
One 30-minute phone interview with a recruiter, one 40-minute phone interview with a business development manager, one 60-minute phone interview with an operations manager, and one 40-minute phone interview with the CEO. Zero questions on the skills or experiences related to the job itself; almost all questions pertained to discussing in-depth other things on my resume (e.g., Masters thesis on pre-European maritime history of Southeast Asia, contemporary philosophical debates on the existence of God, value drivers in the ocean shipping and payments industries). CEO asked two statistics questions: one on common default probabilities (cribbed from a "best of" Google interview question list) and one on Type I and Type II errors.
