      Software Engineering Interview

      Jan 6, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Rapleaf in Dec 2011

      Interview

Applied online, got email asking me to take an 1-hour test, took it, fairly easy, did not hear back from them for three weeks. Then they got back to me, asking if I got the link to the second test. I replied, saying No. They replied, saying that I failed the first test, addressing me with another person's name. This makes me feel that they were sort of unprofessional.

      Application

The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Rapleaf in Dec 2009

      Interview

The recruiter called me and I wrote a written test with 5 questions. I had two phone interviews with software engineers, asking about the questions on the test and also asking me to give the running time of certain cases and optimizing the running time of breadth first search, etc. overall the people were nice but the second interviewer contradicted with the first one (he thought that her solution to a problem was insufficient). In any case, I was really nervous during the interview and didn't do as well as I had noped.
