      Software Engineer Interview

      Mar 19, 2009
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Rapleaf in Nov 2008

      Interview

First step was an online quiz. Programming questions, design questions, statistics questions, one hour time limit. Then a one on one phone interview about my answers to the quiz. I didn't do well on the statistics questions so that is where most of this interview went. Another phone interview, with a different employee, also about quiz, but taking into account what I had talked to in first phone interview. Then I had to write a ruby program. The program took several days to complete.

      Interview

I applied online and received a link to an online test. I received feedback about two days later and they scheduled a technical phone interview with me. The phone interview was about 45 min long and was about BFS. The interviewer was really nice. They gave me yet another technical phone interview after that. This time, the interviewer asked me a probability question. I answered it correctly but did not explain it clearly. That was the end of my interview process.

      Interview

I went through my schools employee database to find this internship. I applied and they responded in a quick manner with a quiz that I needed to complete.
