From applying to speaking with the recruiter was quick. The recruiter [a Raptor employee] was initially very communicative. I was then setup with the hiring manager, from there moved on to three other virtual interviews. From screening with the recruiter now were at 5 rounds. I'm then asked to come on-site to TX to interview/present in person. They paid for the flight and hotel, but I was left holding the bag for everything else despite on multiple occasions expressing the opposite. On-site meeting/presentation was fine, however, the executive that they specifically wanted me to present to walked out of the room prior to starting and did not return. This is where the professionalism of the group took a nose dive. I was clear with the recruiter I was considering other offers, but the mission of Raptor was something I was passionate about. I had to call the recruiter several times to finally get a response, and no feedback was provided. I am an experience mid-senior level who went through 6 rounds, feedback, and timely communication is the professional thing to do. Overall my feeling was that while there may have been many talented people in the organization, many were simply individual contributors who were promoted to managers and above without any coaching or outside corporate-level management experience.
