I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Reading Partners in Mar 2019
Interview
I received an e-mail for an interview after applying online, and when interviewed, I was asked to specifically describe the Site Coordinator position in my own words. When I applied through their app site through Taleo, I did not know what specific position I was applying for as the listing just said "Reading Partners AmeriCorps Member." So being asked that question, and not being provided any information about the role by e-mail prior to the interview, it showed me this program was disorganized to say the least. I was given info about the Site Coordinator role in the interview, and I also followed up by e-mail and received a description of the role. I received an e-mail not too long after by their HR dept. saying how much of a pool of qualified candidates applied, yada yada yada, and I would not be considered for the role; even though the program manager told me looking at my application I had qualifications for the role and asked if I would like to move forward twice. I was even apprehensive about the role as I said I didn't have much experience relating to the role. Overall, I feel like they were disorganized, and just used me as part of a quota for receiving resumes/ applicants for their role. I also would not recommend using Taleo when applying to any position for any company or organization.
