Applied online through the careers page, received an email from the recruiter within 2 weeks. We scheduled an initial phone screen, the recruiter asked me some standard questions and said that she will schedule me for a phone call with the hiring manager. I had a phone call with the hiring manager as scheduled- again routine questions, nothing that was unfair or too tough.
Things pretty much were on a long pause after that. I had to follow up via several emails when I finally heard that the hiring team changed and I need to do another call, this time with the new hiring manager. The recruiter scheduled my call, I had a good conversation with the new manager - couple of case study type questions, she asked me about my previous experience, what I want to do next, etc.
Things again went on a LONG hold after that until I finally heard that they would like to schedule me for an onsite interview. Scheduling the onsite interview took forever, I had to make a presentation and I didn’t get much guidance on how/what to prepare, they only sent me a standard email with some basic instructions. I was also expecting to get some insight into the people I would be meeting during my interview but didn’t get that either. I emailed them a couple times but there was no response to my questions.
Anyway, I showed up the day of my interview - surprisingly enough things moved super quick and smooth after that and I got an offer and accepted it in less than a week. Communication since that point onward has been fabulous!
I understand the change in hiring team mid way through the process may have been a curve ball, but I was expecting better communication.
Everything worked out though at the end.
