I was first screened by someone at HR by phone and she organized another interview at their office. They interview was set for 4 hours, approx. one hour with person. I arrived, they guided me to a very tiny, ugly room where I spent the next 4 hours. No tour on the facilities (I would like to know where I will be working at!). They did not offer coffee, or ever asked if I needed anything which is a symptom of a company not caring about their people.
It was organized so I would spend approx. 1 hour per person, total of 4. The first person who interviewed me, and the more senior of all, seemed that he never read my resume before. I could see he was biased from the beginning. It was quite discouraging because the aspects he did not like, were all in my resume and should have been screened in the phone interview instead of making me waste a whole day (note: they knew I was going from San Francisco so add the commute to the 4 hours!). At the beginning, I told him I had questions about the company and he did not set any time for me to ask anything. I knew he did not like me. I assumed that, due to his seniority, he was going to make the final call. However, they let me keep with the charade of interviewing the next 3 and waste 3 hours. The next three interviewers really liked me. One even said he would "vote" for me.
I do not remember the questions but no one seemed to have anything prepared in advance nor seem to have a lot of experience interviewing people.
If they know they will not hire after the first interview, they should not make you waste your time. And it would have been much better to organize it as a panel so that they only take one hour of your (and their) time. At least for an initial screening.
The overall experience was negative. They did not make any effort in showing that it was a good environment to work at.
