Only went through the recruiter screen before I withdrew. The questions were pretty standard of what I was interested, talk about my experience, etc but I didn’t feel like there was very much enthusiasm from the recruiter for working there. When I asked what she liked about working there and what the culture was like, she had good things to say about the manager I would be working for but didn’t mention anything about company culture other than it’s a high performing culture. In my mind that reads as no work-life-balance. They also have a really strict in-office requirement with no flexibility on the hours you need to be there which is a shame. They also couldn’t give me a salary range but were happy to ask about my expectations. I asked about the budget for the role and she said they were still scoping it based on the candidate. When I finally gave her a range she said it would likely be at the lower end - so I’m assuming there is a range they just want to try and lowball me. Huge red flag for me.
