The interview process was quick, and easy to schedule. I met with the hiring manager, direct and VP of Sales.
I did have a problem. They initially asked me where I wanted to end up in terms of dream position and they used that to disqualify me after 4 interviews. Basically said I wouldnt be able to obtain that position eventually at Recharge which is fine. I applied for the role for a reason, and if it were really a problem I would have never applied. I told them thats okay, and that I wasnt worried as I was more interested in joining what seems to be a growing company.
Then in my final interview with the VP he asked me questions like, "The last company you worked at was Pre-IPO and you left, I'm trying to understand why. You had everything." It seemed like he didnt even take into consideration the other factors, like lets say mental health, personal issues, etc. It was definitely a,"you're crazy for doing such a thing".
Then the rejection email came, and there reason was the wanted someone whos willing to stay in the role for a long time. Which completely went against everything they sold me, which was a growing company with endless opportunities for growth.
Just seems like they want to hire "yes" people, especially for the Sales/Solution org. So if you have career ambitions I would consider twice before applying.
